Core Belief
We believe that in Wood Buffalo what you dream can become reality. We believe that a community can only be as strong as the cultural and social occasions that bind it together and provide all citizens and visitors with a common bond. We believe that our community is great and that we should celebrate that fact together. We believe that art and culture just like people need encouragement and support to develop and evolve. We believe in local talent. Lastly, we firmly believe that bringing people together in a communal experience that has universal meaning will strengthen and improve us as a community and as individuals.
Statement of Purpose
We exist to celebrate, nurture, develop and provide infrastructure for cultural development and festivity in the Wood Buffalo region. By supporting activities that provide a forum and a venue for local, national and international talent we embrace our immediate neighbors as well as our place in the bigger world we all share. Being a voice, an advocate, a sponsor, an educator and producer of events in the region, we enlist further engagement from our community partners and volunteers while providing a solid foundation and a source of support for artists and celebrants from all over Alberta, Canada and the world. By doing this we strengthen our community identity, and improve every citizens’ quality of life.
